THE 13th ANNUAL ASBURY PARK MUSIC AWARDS

This past Saturday, I had an excellent time at the legendary Stone Pony Rock Club attending the Asbury Park Music Awards.

It has been many years since I have attended them....the last time I attended them my previous band "Afterglow" we were nominated 2-3 years in a row and we won several awards over that time period in the 90's.

This time around, the band that I am in "Turtle Soup" were nominated for three awards this year as well ! BEST GROOVE BAND, BEST JAM BAND and BEST GUITARIST.

Unfortunately we did not win any this year, but ! To be nominated with the best of the best from our rockin indie state is worth it all in itself !

It was a great night all around, great music and great people ! I was able to check out some great bands and performers that I had been wanting to see for a long time now.

I am looking forward to next year....
