Poor Little gal

Yesterday John was working outside on building a new shelf unit for his office and he heard a scratching south coming from inside the garbage can. He lifted the lid and inside was this big Raccoon.

I think she went inside of the garbage can in the night to find food and was in there until the mid afternoon which by then was extremelly hot...It must have been at least 125 degrees in that can.

I was out when John first discovered her...but when I returned he had her out of the garbage and laying on the lawn trying to rehydrate her with some water but I think she was in some form of heat shock.

John called animal control and they came and took her to the ASPCA, so I hope they were able to treat her and not put her down.

Poor thing :(

NutriSystem

Yes I am doing this diet. For most of my life I have fought with being chubby. I have never been fat or overweight but always had this belly and baby fat.

Last year while prepping for our jungle adventure in Belize, I trained for months and months at the gym and also dieted for a long time.

I was able to get in as good of shape as I think I ever possibly could have for the regiment I was doing.

Now since coming back from Belize, I have slowly gotten back out of shape. Well, part of it I have been very busy and just plain lazy.

So what has inspired me to loose those 15 lbs that I have been fighting with for a decade is my friend Syn.

She started Nutrisystem in January of this year and has lost a whopping 70lbs to date. That floored me and showed me that it can be possible. So with her inspiration I decided...What the hell, why not give it a go.

So a week ago I started Nutrisystem and thus far within a week I have lost 5 lbs and I am back to my Belize weight "Hehe as I call it".

My goal is to get back into my 32 inch waist jeans and have a semi flat tummy. I think that if I continue to do this diet and exercise as I have been, by the end of August I should be in the kind of shape I have been wanting for such a long time.

Wish me luck....

This has been one tiring week. Although I took the week off, I am pretty tired out of sheer boredom! You see, we are having Central air-conditioning being installed into our 100 year old house. Now as many of you know a vintage house is not set up for something of this nature...So it has been a week long process of having installers here putting in the heating and air system.

I can't wait for this to be done because it will make the house o much more comfortable....We are even having the attic air conditioned so that John can work comfortably with his clients.

So this afternoon we decided to go to the park and hike for a couple hours...it was a beautiful day and I am so glad we did....here are some pictures that highlight the beauty of New Jersey !

OUR OLD HOUSE CAN TALK
Our house that we bought is over or around 100 years old. You always hear people talking about finding things very old in houses or seeing spirits, or strange activity.
Before we moved into our house, we would stay late painting, tearing down wall paper and just doing repairs around the house before we moved in. We did feel small spirit activity in the house but nothing that was too alarming. When we first step foot in the house, I called our spirit Margaret and the house I named Moya.
Well strange things happen, today while cleaning our basement in a place that we have viewed lots and lots of times I found a letter....a ten page letter to be exact and it was dated March 23 1937.
The letter was a woman by the name of "Margaret"..YES MARGARET ! and she also had a daughter named Margaret as well it seemed, Two children had their room in our attic and apparently the woman and her husband "Whom the letter was being written to" were separated for wha seems like may have been sexual abuse to their daughter? It was hard to understand what the letter was about because it was kind of cryptic.
There was also talk of insurance policies and names of people and streets in the area which was just amazing.
I would love to do some research on our house and see who ahs lived here over the years and their names and why people move.
The things you find in your house that are part of it's history....This letter is 69 years old and in perfect condition.
It was almost like the house or a spirit wanted us to find the letter and some how return it to the family or something.
I will keep everyone updated on this as I find out more.
