The next series pf pictures are from Adam's surprise Birthday party. I started planning this a few months back.

The idea came to me while sitting at our monthly drum circle at our house and being with some really close and dear friends.

We have been together for many years now (John and I) and over the past couple of years he has done so much for others and has given so much to all of his friends and community that I wanted to do something very special for him. What does someone do for someone they love and care about.

THROW A PARTY ! LOL

Once I got rolling on a place, evite and the guestlist...it just about took care of itself.

I do want to thank Adam's mom & Dad John and Judy for all their help and support in planning this, I couldn't have done it without them.

Unfortunately the only picture I had of their table did not come out. But also at the party but not pictures below were John and Judy, Aunt Pat and Karen ! They were key in getting him there without any suspicion....LOL !

The series of pictures below are from that day and what a great time we all had :)

A Picture that says it all...SURPRISE ! And boy was he !

It's all sinking in now on who is here and that it is for Adam....LOL

"THE MET"
The Metropolitan Museum of Art and History
That is where John and I spent the day a couple of weeks ago.
John studies and teaches Egyptian Shamanism and he wanted
to go and see the exibits at the Met.
I am so glad that we did because it was mind blowing to see
thousands of ancient artifacts still as beautiful as they were thousands
of years ago.
The Exibit is huge so bring some water and good walking shoes because
it can take hours to go thru everything.
We spent four hours in the museum.
Afterwards we went to an Oblisk next to the Museum in Central park
called Cleopatra's Needle. The are four in the world and one happens
to be right in our own back yard ! It is huge and beautiful.
It was a perfect day that we had and we need to do stuff like this more often.
Days and Time escape us and sometimes we forget the things we have to do
in our own back yard !

Was a great day and this was in the beginning of the exibit, a sculpture of a baby lion cub made out of ivory stone. Not many baby animals were ever depicted by the Egyptians.

A Ceremonial necklace made for a Queen. It is thousands of gemstones and beads woven together and it is still in the same shape as it was thousands of years ago !

Another beautiful becklace and ring

Stone carvings from the walls of tombs

A Statue of Horus, Eagle God

A Canopic Jar...

This is where Shaman's would place internal organs in to preserve them

A Sarcofigus (Spelling?) This was for a King

A Statue of a King that was placed outside of a tomb

Cleopatra's Needle in Central park, NYC

A strange thing to be on the bas of the oblisk, but there are four crabs at the base of the needle.

John in deep thought reading what the heiroglphs mean that are written on the needle.

As you can tell it was a gorgeous day !

Easy to find,m it is right outside of the Met in NYC...by Central Park.

It was a great day to spend with John :)
