TORI AMOS

Today I wanted to write about Tori. Not many people are familiar with her work and music even though she has been out for a long time and has put out many recordings.

I was first introduced to Tori in my late teens/early 20's with her recording of "Little Earthquakes". With me and so many other people, this albumn was inspirational, different, ahead of it's time..... The words, emotions and music were so prolific that you could feel her pain, sorrow and happiness in the music.

Through out her career, there have been a few really good albumns and some that I am not fond of, but nothing has moved me as much as that first CD and to this day...I still listen to it like I was for the first time.

Tori also puts on an incredible stage performance. If ever you have the chance to catch her LIVE...It is a must and you should.

SiLeNt HiLL

John and I love Horror films, Sci Fi, Super Hero, Comic...you name it ! We usually do not go to see a love story, tear jerker or Comedy...We prefer to be scared.

This Past weekend we went to go and See Silent Hill. What this movie is, is a movie based on a series of Video games with the same title.

We started playing video games roughly 6-8 years ago and this was one of the first that we played....This Video game scared the fricking daylights out of us ! There should be a warning sticker on it stating....WARNING: DO NOT PLAY ALONE IN TEH DARK FOR FEAR OF GETTING SCARED.

Well the movie was similar...Twisted, scary and even more twisted. The movie has a few really intense gorey scenes in it but the movie is all about what the game was about....What lurks behind the corner and all psychological thrillers !

I highly suggest this movie..ONLY if you want to get scareed out of your mind !

Ok, cold and snowy weather should not be happening this time of the year in New Jersey ! This morning it was warm and I had my windows open and was thinking to myself this will be a great day...then BAM! It snowed LOL

Saint Etienne

This is a band that I think would out live Cock roaches. They keep chugging along making incredible British Pop music.

I was first introduced to St.Etienne when I was in my early 20's by my best friend Maria while at college at Suny New Paltz. Instantly I became obsessed with this band and listened to them day and night. Their music over the past many years has changed from Brit Pop to classic beatnik vibes with a cocktail twist to them to deep house and dance hall.

They always seem to stay to their roots with very flavorful lyrics and and creative beats and music.

St.Etienne is one of those bands that I will listen to for the rest of my life regardless of what they create or sound like...I just hope that they stay together for many more years to come.
