DEAD CAN DANCE.....

I felt it right to talk about one of my favorite bands of all time.

Dead can dance, I was introduced to them in my teens (80's) as

a gothic, dark band from a tiny gothic indy record label.

All of my dark and goth friends listened to DCD and I was completely

enthralled by their unique style, beautiful sound and worldy chants.

Years later I rediscovered Dead Can Dance when I was learning how to

play percussion. I would listen deeply to each song and the vast array

of drums they would use in each song was so inspirational to me.

My first DCD concert was almost a religeous experience! To experience

Lisa Gerrard on stage singing was magical and deep. The way she and

Brendon Frasier mix and create this beautiful music is just incredible

Can you tell I love them!??! LOL

I do not think they are really creating new music as they just seem to

tour a lot over the past few years. But I would love nothing more than

for a new recording to be released by them. Especially now that I am

learning how to Journey thru Shamanism, they have become important

to me once again.

RUSTED ROOT

I want to write about bands that have influenced me through out my life, career and whom have inspired me.

The first band I want to write about are Rusted Root. These guys are known as a hippie like Jam band from Pittsburgh, PA.

When I first heard Rusted Root and the giant Percussion sound, I new that this was a band that I needed to listed to. With influencing me in my personal drum playing and writing, Rusted Root have become one of my all time favorite artists of all time.

When I first joined Afterglow I was listening to Rusted Root and Santana dn playing along to their music in my room for hours and hours until my hands bled.

Songs Like "Drum Trip" "Send Me On My Way" and "Ecstasy" have been songs that have taught me parts of my art.

Unforunately Rusted Root are no longer together and have all started solo careers, but if you can pick up some of their CD's and add them to yoru collection you will be doing yourself a huge favor!

LOST

This is truly the best show on TV and in fact may be the best show on TV ...EVER ! If you watch the show you know what I am talking about. If you do not watch the show then there is something wrong and you should be watching it.

My Threads on LOST "WILL" have Spoilers, so if you are not interested in reading about the show and learning secrets and spoilers, then I advise leaving now and skipping over my threads that I will ever post on LOST.

Ok, tonight Sun get kidnapped...That is cool becuase the losties have not had any real problems with "The Others" on the island doing any real harm to their camp like the people in the tail section.

1. There will most likely be another death this season...Rumour has it...It is Ana Lucia !

2. Claire is "FINALLY" getting her episode and from what I gather it will be a real good episode and tying in so much of why she was abducted, Ethan, Danielle and Alex!

3. The Hatch, ok already let's learn some more about this place

4. The Hanso's - Lets move on and get more info.

5. The Monster - now we know it is smoke, lets know more

Damn this show leaves a lot of unanswered questions! I am so ADDICTED to this show !

BIG BROTHER IS ALWAYS WATCHING

In the industry I work in perks do not come often. I have an account that I do business with called Boscov's Department store. They run a contest every two years for the venders that allow the winner (s) to go on cool vacations with the buyers and management of the store chain.

Two years ago I won a spectacular cruise and this year I won a trip to cancun for Feb 3rd.

Due to some unforseen internal work politics, I was denied to go by management in my company. Having only found out a few days prior to actually going on this vacation, I have to now accept the fact that I can not go.

It hurts and also it sucks that people in our world can fuck with a person's life so much just because "they can" and do it for their own agenda's.

I wanted to write about this because I rarely ever complain and rarely ever dislike a person, but I felt like I needed to vent and let people know how dissapointed I am that this happened.

Well....There is always 2007.
